A Case For Medical Innovation
Abbott Vascular is a world leader in medical device innovations that are recognized for their safety, effectiveness and ease of use in treating patients with vascular disease. To launch a new, FDA-approved vascular device, Abbott asked us to create a custom sales case to carry their brand and safely transport their new device. Working under NDA, our team designed a case with specially sized, protective compartments for sales kit items ranging from device clips to product demonstration models. We manufactured offshore, and imported 500 cases and companion promotional products for delivery to Abbott’s launch points within their 90-day window. Abbott’s sales force carried the new device in our cases to doctors and hospitals, and a year later they are continuing the promotional campaign with our branded products.

Get Your Game On
When Capcom, a world leader in blockbuster electronic video games knocked on our door with a project, we were ready. A new game would hit retail shelves in 70 days, and the company needed a promotion at point-of-purchase that would connect with gamers, help distinguish the new game from contenders, and ship easily to retailers. We researched the game, identified its unique qualities, and sent our design concepts overseas to see if a product could be developed in time. We knew we had a winner when one manufacturer presented us with an interactive design board that showcased the essence of the game, became an instant hit with customers, and was compact enough for easy shipping.

That’s Entertainment
TiVo One of the biggest names in home entertainment called on us to energize their rewards program with a promotional campaign that would take their brand into the homes of over 20M people. With such a diverse audience, we carefully selected products with broad appeal and value. TiVo asked us to accent the unique orange color that is part of their brand. We assembled a customized suite of products from slippers and coaster sets to backpacks, shirts and remote control holders, selected for variety and appropriateness to each level of TiVo’s rewards program. We established product fulfillment on a rolling inventory program, enabling our client to update its offerings frequently with no excess inventory build-up. This flagship program for TiVo’s customer outreach has been so successful that the company continues to use it today.

Network with the Best
One of the most cutting-edge, trusted brands in networking technology, Cisco Systems, asked us to develop and produce new employee incentive products tailored to their brand identity. We developed polo shirts and presented them to Cisco marketing teams, who adopted the shirts as part of their official tradeshow uniform to be worn by employees at hundreds of events Cisco participates in each year. The shirts are custom dyed to match Cisco’s corporate colors, and embroidered with the Cisco logo. Cisco employees named Upswing one of their most creative suppliers with products that effectively convey their brand. We made sure they were not only distinctive, but also comfortable and wrinkle-free. To date, the shirts are the #1 seller in Cisco’s brick & mortar and online company stores, throughout 2006.

The Gift of Global Reach
In the semiconductor industry, mega-deals are often made while companies are operating “in stealth mode,” quietly briefing customers under NDA. There’s no advertising or publicity, just intense negotiation. We developed executive gifts for exclusive use in our client’s Executive Briefing Center, which is visited by C-level execs from the world’s largest mobile device makers—names like Nokia, Sony and Samsung. This may be our client’s only opportunity to imprint their brand in the prospect’s mind. We created padfolio/pen sets and logo shirts in bags: gifts that travel well, with broad multi-cultural appeal and usefulness in the Briefing Center or on the road. The gifts we developed carry the corporate colors and are bundled for presentation to customers as a personal gift to help them on their travels. These branded products are so popular that they have been added to our client’s worldwide tradeshow events program.
